Notification Settings

Configure email alerts, in-app notifications, and notification frequency

Overview

Customize how and when you receive notifications about detections, takedowns, account activity, and platform updates. Control notification channels and frequency to match your preferences.

Accessing Notification Settings

Navigate to Settings:

  1. Click profile icon (top right)
  2. Select Account Settings
  3. Go to Notifications
  4. Or navigate to SettingsNotifications

Notification Sections:

  • Email Notifications
  • In-App Notifications
  • SMS Alerts (Ultra VIP)
  • Notification Frequency
  • Alert Types

Email Notifications

Email Notification Types

Detection Alerts:

  • New content detected
  • Leak discovered
  • Content found on platform
  • Immediate or digest

Takedown Updates:

  • Takedown submitted
  • Status changed
  • Takedown successful
  • Takedown rejected

Account Alerts:

  • Login from new device
  • Password changed
  • Plan upgraded/downgraded
  • Billing notifications

System Notifications:

  • Maintenance scheduled
  • Feature updates
  • Security alerts
  • Important announcements

Configure Email Notifications

Enable/Disable Emails:

  1. Go to Notifications
  2. Find notification type
  3. Toggle On or Off
  4. Changes save automatically
  5. Confirmation shown

Set Frequency:

  1. Click notification type
  2. Choose frequency:
    • Immediate (as it happens)
    • Daily digest (once per day)
    • Weekly digest (once per week)
    • Never (disable)
  3. Save preference

Email Frequency Options

Immediate:

  • Sent right away
  • Real-time alerts
  • Most notifications
  • Can be overwhelming
  • Best for urgent issues

Daily Digest:

  • Sent once per day
  • All alerts combined
  • Morning or evening
  • Less frequent emails
  • Good for most users

Weekly Digest:

  • Sent once per week
  • Summary of activity
  • Consolidated view
  • Minimal emails
  • Good for low-activity accounts

Never:

  • Disable completely
  • No emails sent
  • Check dashboard manually
  • Not recommended
  • Can miss important alerts

In-App Notifications

In-App Alert Types

Dashboard Notifications:

  • Appear in dashboard
  • Bell icon shows count
  • Click to view details
  • Can dismiss
  • Persistent until read

Toast Notifications:

  • Pop-up in corner
  • Auto-dismiss after 5 seconds
  • Can't be dismissed
  • Non-intrusive
  • Good for quick alerts

Configure In-App Notifications

Enable/Disable:

  1. Go to Notifications
  2. Find In-App Notifications
  3. Toggle settings
  4. Choose notification style:
    • Dashboard only
    • Toast only
    • Both
    • Disabled
  5. Save preferences

Sound Alerts:

  1. Go to In-App Notifications
  2. Toggle Sound on/off
  3. Test sound
  4. Adjust volume if needed
  5. Save

SMS Alerts (Ultra VIP Only)

SMS Notification Types

Critical Alerts:

  • Major leak detected
  • Viral content spread
  • Account security issue
  • Urgent action needed

Priority Updates:

  • Takedown status changes
  • High-priority detections
  • Account changes
  • Billing alerts

Configure SMS Alerts

Add Phone Number:

  1. Go to Notifications
  2. Click SMS Alerts
  3. Enter phone number
  4. Verify with code
  5. Confirm activation

Enable/Disable SMS:

  1. Go to SMS Alerts
  2. Toggle on/off
  3. Choose alert types
  4. Set frequency
  5. Save preferences

SMS Frequency:

  • Immediate (urgent only)
  • Daily digest
  • Weekly digest
  • Never

Notification Preferences

Alert Types

Detection Alerts:

  • New detection found
  • Content on platform
  • Leak discovered
  • Multiple detections

Takedown Alerts:

  • Takedown submitted
  • Status changed
  • Successful removal
  • Rejection notice
  • Escalation needed

Account Alerts:

  • New login
  • Password changed
  • Email changed
  • Plan changed
  • Payment failed

System Alerts:

  • Maintenance scheduled
  • Feature released
  • Security update
  • Important notice
  • Service status

Customize by Alert Type

For Each Alert:

  1. Go to Notifications
  2. Find alert type
  3. Choose channel:
    • Email
    • In-app
    • SMS (Ultra VIP)
    • Multiple
  4. Set frequency
  5. Save

Example Configuration:

  • Detections: Email daily digest + in-app
  • Takedowns: Email immediate + SMS (Ultra VIP)
  • Account: Email immediate
  • System: Email weekly digest

Notification Frequency

Frequency Options

Immediate:

  • Sent right away
  • Real-time alerts
  • Best for urgent
  • Can be many emails
  • Recommended for critical

Daily Digest:

  • Sent once per day
  • Choose time (morning/evening)
  • All alerts combined
  • Cleaner inbox
  • Recommended for most

Weekly Digest:

  • Sent once per week
  • Summary format
  • Consolidated view
  • Minimal emails
  • Good for low-activity

Monthly Digest:

  • Sent once per month
  • Overview format
  • Very minimal
  • Summary statistics
  • For passive monitoring

Never:

  • Disable completely
  • Manual check only
  • Not recommended
  • Can miss alerts
  • Use with caution

Set Digest Time

Choose Delivery Time:

  1. Go to Notifications
  2. Find Digest Time
  3. Select time:
    • 6 AM
    • 9 AM
    • 12 PM
    • 3 PM
    • 6 PM
    • 9 PM
  4. Save preference

Time Zone:

  • Based on account timezone
  • Set in account settings
  • Affects all digest times
  • Update if moved

Notification Channels

Email

Advantages:

  • Permanent record
  • Easy to search
  • Forward to others
  • Archive for reference
  • Works everywhere

Disadvantages:

  • Can be delayed
  • May go to spam
  • Inbox clutter
  • Requires checking

In-App

Advantages:

  • Immediate
  • Always visible
  • No spam folder
  • Integrated dashboard
  • Easy to manage

Disadvantages:

  • Only in app
  • Requires login
  • Can be missed
  • Limited history

SMS (Ultra VIP)

Advantages:

  • Immediate
  • Always with you
  • Works offline
  • High priority
  • Urgent alerts

Disadvantages:

  • Limited characters
  • Additional cost
  • May be delayed
  • Carrier dependent

Notification History

View Notification History

Access History:

  1. Go to Notifications
  2. Click Notification History
  3. See past notifications
  4. Sorted by date (newest first)
  5. Filter by type

Notification Details:

  • Date and time
  • Type of alert
  • Content summary
  • Action taken
  • Status

Archive Notifications

Archive Old Notifications:

  1. Go to Notification History
  2. Select notifications
  3. Click Archive
  4. Moved to archive
  5. Can restore if needed

Delete Notifications

Remove Notifications:

  1. Go to Notification History
  2. Select notifications
  3. Click Delete
  4. Permanently removed
  5. Cannot be recovered

Troubleshooting

Not Receiving Emails

Check:

  1. Verify email address in settings
  2. Check spam/junk folder
  3. Add to contacts
  4. Check notification settings
  5. Verify email is enabled

Solutions:

  • Add to whitelist
  • Check email provider settings
  • Update email address
  • Contact support
  • Try in-app notifications

Too Many Notifications

Reduce Frequency:

  1. Go to Notifications
  2. Change to daily/weekly digest
  3. Disable non-critical alerts
  4. Adjust alert types
  5. Save preferences

Manage Channels:

  • Disable email
  • Use in-app only
  • Reduce SMS alerts
  • Customize by type

Missing Important Alerts

Ensure You See Critical:

  1. Enable immediate for critical
  2. Use multiple channels
  3. Check notification history
  4. Set up SMS (Ultra VIP)
  5. Contact support if issue

Best Practices

Do:

  • Enable critical alerts immediately
  • Use daily digest for routine
  • Check dashboard regularly
  • Adjust as needed
  • Keep email current

Don't:

  • Disable all notifications
  • Ignore alerts
  • Use only SMS
  • Forget to check
  • Ignore spam folder

Notification Strategy

For High-Activity Accounts:

  • Immediate for critical
  • Daily digest for routine
  • SMS for emergencies (Ultra VIP)
  • Check dashboard daily

For Low-Activity Accounts:

  • Daily or weekly digest
  • In-app notifications
  • Email for important only
  • Check weekly

For Agencies:

  • Immediate for critical
  • Daily digest for routine
  • SMS for emergencies
  • Delegate monitoring
