Archiving Assets and Takedowns

Hide content assets and finished takedown requests you no longer need, and bring them back any time

Why Archive?

Archiving keeps your lists tidy without deleting anything. Archived items are hidden by default, and you can bring them back whenever you like.

Archive Content Assets

  1. Open Content Assets.
  2. Tick the box on each asset you want to archive, or use Select all to pick everything shown.
  3. Press Archive selected.

What happens to an archived asset:

  • It disappears from the default list. Turn on Show archived to see archived assets.
  • It is no longer used for reverse-image scans, so it will not find new matches while archived.
  • Its history, existing detections and takedowns are kept.

To restore an asset, turn on Show archived, select it and press Unarchive selected. Scanning of that asset resumes.

Archive Takedown Requests

  1. Open Takedowns.
  2. Tick the requests you want to archive, then press Archive selected.

Only finished requests can be archived: Removed, Not removed, Rejected and Cancelled. Requests that are still open (Requested or In progress) are skipped, and the confirmation message tells you how many, for example "3 archived, 2 skipped because they are still open".

Archiving never changes the status of a request and never changes your monthly takedown quota.

Good to Know

  • You can select up to 100 items at a time.
  • Changing a filter or switching between the normal and archived view clears your selection.
  • Archive and Unarchive only run when you press the button, never by pressing Enter.
  • Long lists are shown in pages. Select all selects the items on the current page; your selection stays when you move to another page.
  • The numbers at the top of Takedowns count all your open and finished requests, not just the page you are looking at.
  • Each takedown shows the content asset it is about: a small preview (or an icon for videos and other files) and its name. Select the name to open the asset. A takedown about an asset you archived or deleted shows "Asset unavailable".
  • Everything works with the keyboard: Tab to a checkbox and press Space to select it.
